In history, ( קְרוֹקוֹדִיל k’rokodiyl crocodiles ) were a real danger to the Egyptians and,               like other dangerous animals, were given divine status (in their case as the god Sobek)          in the hope that, in return they would not attack humans. The Nile crocodile can grow to six metres in length, and there are many tales of Ancient Egyptians being killed by them.
In our modern day men still choose to worship and serve the creature, rather than the creator, and thus have been cursed by Creator by the very creatures they worship!

Istanbul (CNN) As passengers at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport waited to board their flights Wednesday, workers picked up shattered glass and washed away blood that was barely dry.

Turkey’s Prime Minister declared a national day of mourning, one day after three terrorists attacked the arrivals hall and a nearby parking area with gunfire and explosive devices, killing 43 people. Of the 239 people injured, 109 remained hospitalized Wednesday, official said.
At least 13 of those killed were foreign nationals, a Turkish official said. They include five Saudis, two Iraqis, one Tunisian, one Chinese, one Iranian, one Ukrainian, one Jordanian and one person from Uzbekistan, the official said. (CNN) —A water park in North Carolina, where a deadly amoeba was found in the water after the death of an Ohio woman, will not be fully reopening for several weeks, Mecklenburg County Health Director Dr. Marcus Plescia said Monday. “It will take at least several weeks to implement the steps that are agreed upon,” he said.

The U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte was mostly closed Friday after water samples tested positive for Naegleria fowleri, an amoeba that can cause a rare and deadly brain infection.

The park shutdown came five days after 18-year-old Lauren Seitz of Westerville, Ohio, died from the infection. Health officials said samples of her cerebral spinal fluid tested positive for the amoeba, confirming the cause of death.

The high school senior had visited the water park on a church trip. At one point, she was riding on a raft that overturned, health officials said last week.

India lightning strikes leave 93 people dead

 

At least 93 people have been killed and more than 20 injured by lightning strikes in the Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, officials say.
Most of the people who died were working on farms during torrential rains on Tuesday, reports said.
Lightning strikes are common in India during heavy monsoon rains.
Fifty-six people died in Bihar while 37 people were killed across Uttar Pradesh, Jharkand and Madhya Pradesh.

BISHKEK – A strong earthquake has hit southern Kyrgyzstan, but emergency officials say there are no immediate reports of any damage or injuries in the remote corner of the Central Asian nation.

The emergency situations ministry says the earthquake that struck at 5:17 p.m. (1117 GMT) on Sunday had a magnitude of 6.7 at its center and registered a magnitude of 4 in Osh, the nearest city. The U.S. Geological Survey gave a preliminary magnitude of 6.3.

An earthquake with a magnitude over 6 is capable of causing severe damage.

At least 24 people have died and a federal disaster has been declared in West Virginia after heavy rains flooded several towns, prompting search and rescue operations. Both Virginia and West Virginia have declared states of emergency due to the devastating event that has been described as “complete chaos.”
