Atlanta (CNN)The man accused of arson in a massive fire that collapsed part of Interstate 85 in Atlanta discussed smoking crack with two others before the blaze started, an arrest affidavit shows.

Basil Eleby is charged with first-degree arson and criminal damage to property, authorities said.

Eleby and his two companions, Sophia Bruner and Barry Thomas, are believed to be homeless. They were arrested in connection with Thursday evening’s fire, said Jay Florence, the state safety fire commissioner.

An affidavit obtained by CNN shows Eleby told investigators that he and his companions talked about smoking crack cocaine under the highway overpass. He however decided to smoke without his companions, and left before the fire started, the affidavit said, citing his statement.

But one of the people with him disputed his account.

“Thomas watched Basil Eleby place a chair on top of a shopping cart, reach under the shopping cart and ignited it,” the affidavit said without providing details.

Georgia Department of Transportation has indefinitely closed the following ramps on I-85 South due to the collapse of a section of the interstate: Chamblee Tucker Road, Shallowford Road, Clairmont Road and North Druid Hills Road.

The following closures are in place, according to the Atlanta Police Department:

• Northbound Piedmont Road at Lambert Drive;
• Southbound Piedmont at Buford Connector, all vehicles must turn onto Buford Connector to get to I-85 SB;
• Access to I-85 North off of Piedmont Circle;
• Lenox Road at Ga. 400 SB;
• Intersection of Lambert Drive and Manchester Street;
• There is no access from Sidney Marcus onto Buford Highway

The National Weather Service says a weak tornado touched down in Monroe, Snohomish County, on 3/30/2017, toppling at least two RVs, throwing a trampoline in the air and damaging a car.

No one was injured.

The storm was reported about 10:30 a.m. in the area of West Main Street and 170th Drive, causing minor property damage, officials said.

 

MONROE, Wash. (KOMO) – Strong winds — later confirmed to be a weak tornado — caused some damage in Monroe Thursday morning. But luckily, no one was hurt.

A spotter in the city reported a “mini tornado” touched down near the Speedway RV Center on West Main Street in Monroe around 10:30 a.m. Nearby surveillance video showed               “mini tornado” was an apt description, with a small funnel racing through the park.

Bank of Israel: GDP Grew by 4% in 2016, “Higher Than Most Advanced Economies”

Israel’s gross domestic product “grew strongly” at a rate of 4 percent in 2016, which was “higher than growth in most advanced economies,” the Bank of Israel said in its annual report on Wednesday.

Israel’s labor market is “robust,” with an economy near full employment and an increase in real wages, the report noted. Inflation is currently low and long-term projections for inflation are in the target range.

“At 4%, Israel’s economic growth was double of the United States’ economic growth in the past year; it was 2.3 times higher than the average growth among Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) members; and 2.5 times higher than average growth in the Eurozone,” Israel Hayom explained.

Hail the size of softballs fell on parts of Texas and Oklahoma Sunday night as storms rolled through the southern Plains.

21 Great ( בָּרָד barad hail ) stones, about the weight of a talent, came down out of the sky on men. Men blasphemed ( אֱלֹהִים Elohim ) God because of the plague of the hail, for the plague of it is exceeding great.

The piano which the ( רוּחַ אֱלֹהִים roo•ach- Elohim the Spirit of God ) used to compose my songs, and others, fell out of the closet next to my left hand side.

I have not touched this piano since last year in November, before my car accident.

One house lost its zinc roof and dozens of trees fell this afternoon when a heavy squall was registered in the Villa Andalucía sector in Río Piedras.

Also, several vehicles parked on Almonte Street and on Andalusia Avenue were affected by the fall of the trees and other residences registered minor damages by the branches that fell due to the strong breeze.

 

 

The atmospheric event was recorded a little after 3:00 pm, when the National Meteorological Service issued a special bulletin for the area because of the possibility of strong winds up to 40 mph due to a severe thunderstorm moving through the sector.

69 and has raised up a (שופר Shofar horn) of (ישועה yshuw’ah salvation) (ישוע Yeshua ) in the house (דוד David) his ( מְשָׁרֵת m’sharet servant).
